Nominations for Doctor in Training Delegates
to ASMOF Federal Council (2 positions)

AS AN ASMOF (SA) BRANCH DIT MEMBER YOU MAY NOMINATE FOR A POSITION ON FEDERAL COUNCIL

The Australian Electoral Commission (“AEC”) has made arrangements for an Election to be conducted for the office of Doctor in Training (“DIT”) Delegates from SA to the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation (“ASMOF”) Federal Council for 2021-2024.

There are two (2) positions available.

The first stage of the process is the call for nominations.

The nomination process will open on Monday 19 July 2021 and will conclude at 12 noon Australian Eastern Standard Time AEST (11:30am SA time) on Monday 9 August 2021.

Your nomination (see form below) must be returned to the AEC BY EMAIL to IEBnominations@aec.gov.au

Further information is provided here which you should read prior to nominating:

•            Election Notice for DIT delegate to Federal Council (PDF)

•            Nomination Form for DIT delegate to Federal Council (PDF)

Please note that only financial members of ASMOF as at 12 July 2021 are able to nominate for this delegate position. If you are unsure of your financial status, please phone the SASMOA/ASMOF(SA) office for confirmation.

ASMOF, the Australian Salaried Medical Officers' Federation is SASMOA’s Federal counterpart and has the same role in the "Federal" industrial jurisdiction. As SASMOA is affiliated with ASMOF, membership of both SASMOA and ASMOF is included in your membership fees.

The role of DIT Delegate to ASMOF Federal Council will be an important voice for all Trainees on this important national body.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the above, please contact Principal Industrial Relations Adviser Ed Grue.
