WE FIGHT for BETTER WORKING CONDITIONS FOR salaried doctors AND A BETTER HEALTH SYSTEM FOR ALL SOUTH AUSTRALIANS.

INTRODUCING SASMOA

The South Australian Salaried Medical Officers Association (SASMOA) is the State-based union for doctors who work in salaried positions in hospitals and community health services in South Australia.

From interns to senior specialists, from crowded emergency departments to surgical suites and community-based services, we represent salaried doctors regarding their pay and conditions of employment.

We also lobby and advocate for proper resourcing of the South Australian health system.

We are a registered industrial association under the Fair Work Act 1994 (SA) and the employee party to all major State registered Awards and Agreements covering salaried doctors in SA.

SASMOA members also become members of the ASMOF (SA) branch, via a conjoint arrangement. ASMOF is the Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation, which is the Australian trade union registered with the Fair Work Commission to represent the interests of salaried doctors in the private sector and federal jurisdiction.
